Stratton's One Month Checkup

At Stratton's one month checkup, he was ....11 lbs, 11 oz! Height was right at average for his age, but weight is in the 90th percentile.

How funny to have a baby at the opposite end of the spectrum (Dawson always hovered around 10th percentile).

He is doing well and the evenings are getting a little better. The fussiness does not last nearly as long and he's going down for the night a little earlier. There is light at the end of the tunnel!

How to save on groceries

I figured out a new way to save money at the grocery store last week. When you go with two kids (one in a carseat that doesn't seem to fit on the cart, so it has to go IN the cart) they take up so much room in the cart that you barely have room for groceries.

I'm also discovering that it's very hard to find enough time to upload and post pictures with this very S L O W computer - everything takes 20x longer than it should! So by the time I get half way through somebody needs to be picked up or go to the bathroom or demands my attention elsewhere. Right now, Dawson is standing next to me asking to see the "flog" I'm working on. "Where's the Flog, Mommy? Mommy, where's the flog???" And then he reaches up and pushes a key on the keyboard. Aarg!
(Hence the no posts in over a week!)

One Month Old Today!

Stratton has reached the one month mark today! He's made a few attempts at smiling (mostly at Daddy), is still a good eater and receives lots of kisses and hugs from Dawson (and the rest of us). The last few days, he's actually been fussier than before (maybe having more trouble with the reflux?). He doesn't sleep real well unless he's held or in the carseat.
